Scope of this policy

This policy covers Game Grammar (operated by BIRDOR, Inc) across three roles: visitors browsing the marketing site, account holders who create and save projects, and end users of a third-party website that has embedded the Game Grammar chat widget.

It describes what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It does not cover third-party sites you reach by following a link from ours.

Information you provide directly

Account email address and password hash, submitted to sign in or register (see "Accounts" in the Terms of Service).

Early-access waitlist submissions: email, role, game type, use case, pain point, and plan interest.

Messages you send to the Agent, the project title you choose, and the Game Spec content and versions the Agent generates from your conversation.

Anonymous test-release feedback: the selected response, optional short note, test version, an anonymous session identifier, and the last recorded gameplay signal. We do not ask for identity information in this form; do not include personal information in the optional note.

Information collected automatically on this site

Cookies: a session cookie once you log in (90-day expiry), an anonymous ID cookie used to attribute roadmap votes and analytics events when you are not logged in (1-year expiry), and a locale-preference cookie for the language you last selected.

Browser storage: your theme preference is kept in local storage on your device and never sent to us.

First-party analytics: page views and a small set of product events (for example, which template or plan you looked at) are recorded with either your anonymous ID or account ID, the page path, and your locale — never with message content.

Microsoft Clarity analytics (optional, consent-based)

If enabled by the operator, Microsoft Clarity records session replays and heatmaps of how visitors use the marketing site. It only loads after you accept the cookie banner shown on this site — until then, no Clarity cookies are set.

Clarity is never loaded on the embeddable chat widget itself. Free-text areas that may contain your project idea or generated spec are marked so Clarity redacts them from recordings and heatmaps.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which shows the banner again on your next visit.

If a website embeds our chat widget

When Game Grammar's chat widget is embedded on a third-party website, the embed script reads that page's title, URL, and visible text (capped at 6,000 characters) and sends it to our servers so the Agent can answer questions about that page.

A conversation ID is stored in your browser's local storage on that website's domain so your conversation can continue across visits to that site.

For that data, we act on behalf of the website that embedded the widget. That website's own privacy policy governs its relationship with you as a visitor — this policy only describes how Game Grammar itself handles the data once received.

How we use this information

To operate the product: authenticate you, generate Agent responses, save and version your projects, and run the embeddable widget.

To respond to waitlist submissions and prioritize the roadmap based on votes and interest.

To understand product usage in aggregate (page views, feature adoption) so we can improve the site — never to build an advertising profile.

To help project owners understand whether an anonymous test release is too difficult, too slow, unclear, or worth continuing, and to connect that feedback to the tested version.

Who we share information with

The AI model provider configured by the operator (by default, an EdgeOne-hosted model) receives your conversation content in order to generate Agent responses.

EdgeOne, our hosting and storage provider, stores accounts, projects, waitlist entries, and analytics events on our behalf.

Microsoft Clarity, only for marketing-site visitors who accept the consent banner described above.

If the operator has configured a business API integration (DATA_API_BASE_URL), relevant parts of your request may be sent to that operator-controlled backend to answer data-driven questions. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

How long we keep information

Accounts, projects, waitlist entries, and roadmap votes are kept until you ask us to delete them — the product does not automatically expire this data today.

Anonymous test-release feedback is retained with its project as product evidence until the project owner asks us to delete the project or the feedback is removed under an applicable request.

Analytics events are capped at the most recent 5,000 site-wide; older events are dropped automatically as new ones arrive.

The session cookie expires after 90 days; the anonymous ID cookie expires after 1 year; Clarity consent choices are kept in local storage until you clear it.

Your choices

You can decline or withdraw Clarity consent at any time, as described above.

You can clear your browser's cookies and local storage to reset your anonymous ID, locale preference, and stored conversation IDs.

The product does not yet have a self-service way to export or delete your account, projects, or waitlist entry — contact us using the details below and we will handle the request manually.

Children's privacy

Game Grammar is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update; material changes will be called out on this page.
